Worked Example

Account: $10,000 | Risk: 2% | Stop loss: 50 pips | Pip value: $10/lot

Risk amount: $10,000 × 2% = $200

Risk per lot at 50 pips: 50 × $10 = $500

Lot size: $200 ÷ $500 = 0.40 lots
